She grew up in the small town of Holualoa, located on the Big Island of Hawai’i. After leaving Hawai’i Raven pursued, and received, a Bachelors degree in Creative Writing from The University Of Texas at El Paso. Currently she is a student at American University in pursuit of an MFA in Creative Writing with a focus on Contemporary American Poetry.

Raven is currently unpublished and seeking journals for her debut publication. Her poetry ranges in themes from nature, family, mental health, feminism, and politics.
